About Smart Thermostats

A smart thermostat replaces your existing old-fashioned time clock and wall-mounted dial thermostat, and makes it very easy to set more accurate time and temperature schedules for your heating via a mobile app.

In addition to making controlling your heating easier, the smart thermostat has the ability to turn the heating off when you leave your home, and turn it back on before you get back, so you never have to worry about wasting money by heating an empty home. Our smart thermostat also draws information about the local weather forecast via the internet, and adjusts the heating accordingly. It can also detect when doors and windows have been left open and prompt you to turn your heating off if required.

According to an independent study undertaken on behalf of the manufacturer, a smart thermostat could save up to 24% by turning off the heating when nobody is home plus an additional 7% by responding to the local weather; giving a total saving of 31%.

Our smart thermostat is designed to work with any gas boiler, whether it is a combi boiler or a conventional system with a cylinder. All our installation engineers are Gas Safe registered and highly experienced in connecting control systems to all types of gas boiler. Please note that it is a criminal offence for any person who is not Gas Safe registered to work on any gas appliance.

In short, yes. Our smart thermostats control your heating via a mobile app. This is the easiest and most convenient way to set schedules, much quicker and more intuitive than programming an existing heating timeclock. Internet connectivity gives you the additional benefit of being able to control your heating with your voice using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

About Smart Radiator Valves

Any existing thermostatic radiator valve can be upgraded to a smart radiator valve simply by replacing the valve head. Smart radiator valves allow you to control each radiator independently, setting unique on/off times and temperature settings for each room and making sure that you never waste money by heating empty rooms. Our smart radiator valves can either work alongside your existing heating controls, or be paired with our smart thermostat to provide a complete home heating control solution.

Every home, lifestyle, working pattern and the way that you use your home is different, which makes it hard to give an accurate answer. The more active your home and the busier your schedule, the more you will save.

As a guide, heating your bedrooms typically accounts for around 40% of your heating bill. Smart radiator valves make it easily achievable to reduce the heating time for your bedrooms by as much as 70% by turning these radiators off when the rooms are empty, for example when you are downstairs watching television or working from home. This would result in a 28% saving on your total heating bill; if you choose to control additional rooms, the savings could be even greater.

Our smart radiator valves are designed to work with the vast majority of radiators. If your existing radiator has a thermostatic radiator valve fitted, it is a simple case of replacing the valve head. If your radiators so not currently have thermostatic radiator valves fitted, don’t worry. As highly experienced Gas Safe registered engineers we can fit these for you; please contact us for prices.

In short, yes. Our smart radiator valves are controlled via the mobile app. This is the easiest and most convenient way to set schedules, much quicker and more intuitive than programming an existing heating timeclock.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves

Smart Radiator Valves replace your existing Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs). TRVs are adjustable, usually with a 1-5 scale.

Smart Radiator Valves do not fit old-fashioned non-thermostatic radiator valves. These valves are static and cannot be adjusted.

If your radiators have old-fashioned non-thermostatic valves, as Gas Safe registered engineers we would be happy to replace these for you. Please call us on 01484 940930 for more information.
